But here’s the thing: it was never about the dolls.
- It was about creating spaces for my Barbies (House, Cafe, Petshop etc).
- Designing, planning and organising spaces where everything had a place.
- Learning how to build any missing pieces
Looking back now, I realize: I wasn’t playing. I was practicing. What looked like play was actually purpose in disguise.
What if your old toys were trying to tell you something?
So many of us grow up and forget:
- We forget what lit us up when we were children.
- We forget who we were before the world told us who to be.
- We forget that we were already becoming — long before we had words for it.
Your toy box, the games you enjoyed playing as a child, the things you did not enjoy? They were leaving you clues.
- You weren’t just passing time — you were expressing who you really are.
- Those early passions might be the most honest map to the work you’re meant to do now.
